n the novel The Waves by Virginia Woolf, as a metaphor for time, the wave embodies both the image of perpetual flow and the symbol of impermanence. Woolf traces the individual journeys of her characters through each stage of their lives, set against the shifting atmospheres of a seaside landscape. By materializing these identities as figures of ice—beings bound by time, united within the wave’s flow Theatre l’Entrouvert explore the phenomenon of transformation on individual, collective, and cosmic scales.
