Disorder of Desire: Part 1 Princess Myrra is a psychedelic mash-up of various tragedies, comedies, mythical figures, gods, nuns, permaculturists and intellectual barbarians. Through the use of grand costumes, song, experimental hybrid texts and choreographic scores we want to materialize abundance and investigate subjectivity and experience as well as the potential for a realism defined by surplus and the irrational.
In Stamsund you will meet princess Myrra, a young woman tormented by her forbidden desire. She sends all her suitors away and when daddy finally asks what she wants, she says-someone like him. Because Myrra loves her daddy, but not in a daughterly way and this is why she suffers soooo much.
Myrra is an intricate and dramatic chamber play, a portal to other universes and characters, with Mathias Stoltenberg, Simon Ascencio and Ingrid Haakstad in the roles as daddy, princesse and wet nurse. The play investigates disguise, lust and the opportunity for every human to become someone else through language.
Dionysian Corp consists of Fredrik Floen and Runa Borch Skolseg, they create monumental and pompous universes based on text and costume.
