Punctures

Open House: a Special Series of Invitation by Punctures Over the past couple of years, we — Alfredo, Maxwell and Micaela —  have been developing a unique project between art and ecology called Punctures. With Punctures, we have been busy with topics like biodiversity loss, the potential of novel ecosystems, and the entwining of artistic and personal ecologies with experiences from the land. With Open House, we would like to invite you to share some time with us as we exchange stories together and share some special food and drinks from our own personal geographies at our home away from home in Stamsund. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Invitation #1: Wednesday 18:00 – 19:00, aperitivo

Invitation #2: Thursday 21:00 – 22:00 drinks,

Invitation #3: Friday 09:00 – 10:00, breakfast

Punctures is a long term project between art and ecology by three artists, Alfredo Zinola, Micaela Kühn and Maxwell McCarthy. With the aim to positively puncture landscapes of widespread monoculture with islands of rich biodiversity, the project broke ground last year, planting a diverse mix of non-crop plants on two disused fields in the agricultural flatlands of Cavallermaggiore, Italy. By hosting wider dialogues, Punctures also sets out to create space and time to share the experiences from the land a bit closer to home, in the arts field.
