Per Gunnar og Camilla Eeg-Tverbakk (Ed.): Turisten
Work of art, public property, mascot, rarity, statue, landmark and tourist attraction. Turisten (the tourist) in Stamsund has been called many things. The figure that stands in Rokkvika in Stamsund has also had an unusual life course. Rescued from the depths of the sea, scorched, oiled and cared for, shot at, knocked over by a hurricane, buried and then resurrected in bronze. This book is about the history of Turisten, from the Norwegian artist group Baktruppen unveiled the wooden figure on the steamship quay in Stamsund in 2004, and the locals saved it from being sunk at sea, even the unveiling of the bronze version of the figure which happened during the Stamsund theater festival in 2021. The book is published by Orkana forlag. Texts: Per Gunnar Eeg-Tverbakk (ed.), Anette Pettersen, Kjetil Jakobsen, Mariann Komissar, Trude Iversen and Werewere-Liking Gnepo. Both the artists and locally committed voices are heard in an interview text.
Anette Therese Pettersen (Ed.): Av historisk grunn
Av historisk grunn is a collaboration between choreographers Ingeleiv Berstad, Eivind Seljeseth and Kristin Ryg Helgebostad that started in 2011. The project evolves around questions of what shapes history. So far it has materialized in three different performances, a seminar called Future Culture Houses, a fanzine and this book.
